When you’re learning something it can be tempting to skip over the questions, exercises, etc. and just read or watch the content. If you don’t practise and apply what you’ve learned then you can’t be sure you really understand it and you’re far less likely to be able to remember it when needed. If you’re making the time to study then you’re wasting it if it goes in one ear and out the other.

If there aren’t any questions or exercises in the content itself you can feed it to ChatGPT or Claude and ask it to make you questions. Finding someone else who is studying the same topic and questioning each other is also a great way of making sure you know the subject.

What have you been learning recently? How much of it can you remember right now?
