How many priorities do you have?
The point of having priorities is to focus the resources you have on the most important work you want to do. There is usually never enough resources or time to get everything done. You look at where you want to get to, work backwards to figure out what will get you there, and call that your priorities.
If you write down a list of your priorities how many lines would the list have? If it’s more than three then I don’t think they’re that useful as priorities as there’s too much ambiguity about what’s the most important. It’s too easy to feel like you’re making progress but only get 80% done on the work, so nothing is finished.
If you’ve more than this you should rank them and work on the top ranked one until it’s done or blocked, then the second ranked one, etc. etc. This way if something knocks you off course you’ve got the most important work done first.
